Armond Gregory "Greg" Cuevas, of Poplarville, MS passed away Thursday, September 15th at his home in Poplarville, MS. Greg was born September 27, 1943 in Picayune and lived a major part of his life in Kiln, MS. He was preceded in death by his parents, Obie (Bennett) and Armond Joseph Cuevas, and a brother, Archie Cuevas.

Greg is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Margarett Mary (Metcalf) Cuevas and eight children: Glynnis Piazza (George); Greg Cuevas, "Jr." (Ginger); Latrecia Cooley (Donny) of Kiln, MS; Jason Cuevas (Lisa) of St. Francisville, LA; Lewis Cuevas (Joanne); Tracey Penton; Sharon Lawson (Shawn) of Poplarville, MS and Travis Cuevas (Amy) of Corpus Christie, TX; two brothers Robert "Terryl" Cuevas and Dale Cuevas of Kiln, MS; 25 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Greg was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting, gardening and talking to his dogs. He enjoyed music, whether it was listening to it or playing the keyboard and singing along. He loved telling stories of his "old moonshining days" and how The Lord saved him. In his earlier years, he was a heavy equipment operator, worked in construction, and was self-employed. He enjoyed living a simple and quiet life in his later years. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. The family would like to thank the staff of Forrest General Hospice for their excellent care.

A visitation for friends and family will be held Sunday, September 18 from 1-4 pm at White Funeral Home in Poplarville, MS followed by a private burial.
